Prayers for 16 August 2020

Welcome – to all who are joining us today.

Prayer from your heart to God’s heart:
(Oral Roberts, Prayers for seed-faith living, Tulsa, OK., USA, 49.)

“Father, I am grateful for Jesus…I am more than grateful; I am in love with Jesus. He is everything to me. He is my Life, my Way, my Truth, the Source of my being. And I pray that I shall be like Him.
Jesus, fill my life today…with Your healing presence…Your power…and the force of Your Spirit and personality.
Let the artist of eternity paint a picture of You that I may know You better. May I look upon You! Feel You! Receive You! And encounter YOU in this moment of my existence. I earnestly pray and I believe, Amen.”

Prayer after sermon (Iris Marais)
Gracious Lord Jesus,
We thank you for your light that shines in all the dark and painful corners of our lives. Your light heals our past traumas, it reveals the new and refreshing future that you have for us and it brings wisdom on the paths of our lives. We commit ourselves anew today and ask that your light will search our hearts and direct us in the way you want us to go. In Jesus name, Amen.
